The MVIS GDP Africa Index is designed to reflect the size of a country's economy instead of the size of its equity market. It defines country weightings based on a country's gross domestic product (GDP). A unique pure-play approach expands local exposure to include non-local companies that generate at least 50% of their revenues in Africa. The MVIS GDP Africa Index (MVAFK) has been licensed to underlie financial products with currently USD 53.5 million in assets under management.
Full MCap of at least 150 mln USD. Three month average-daily-trading volume of at least 1 mln USD at a review and also at the previous two reviews. At least 250,000 shares traded per month over the last six months at a review and also at the previous two reviews.
Index includes non-local companies.
